My Turtles

i’m getting a pet turtle and want to know a bit more about them before i do. i’ve read up on them quite a bit but am still wondering what species to get and i need to decide this to go on to buy the right things for them, e.g a tank! so does anyone know the best species to get as a pet and any advice on how to take good care of them?! thanks ) x

i live in raleigh, north carolina. i know about the salmonella craze. but i see many people on youtube have pet turtles and they dont get salmonella. SO where can i get one?

i heard turtlesale was bad, and u have to do next day shipping, is that true?
i called petsmart and petco, and they dont sell turtles in north carolina

We’ve had our red-eared sliders for years now, and they’re getting really big. They’re boring, high-maintenance pets that take up time, money, effort and space. Since nobody would buy such big turtles, is it legal to just let them into the wild?

I am thinking of buying a pet turtle from Petsmart and When i saw them they were just swimming in water. So i Have a few questions. 1) What are all the supplies i will need for a pet turtle? 2) do these turtles have an diseases? 3) do turtles have an odor?

How long do Pet turtles Live?

Ughh they r those small ones like the size of half dollar coin… Can u give me some tips on how to take care of em?

I just moved to a new place but I stopped in Bangalore on the way to spend some time. I wanted to buy a turtle there and take it along with me because there are not any pet stores close to where I live now!!! However, I could not find any stores which carry turtles. I am going to go back to Bangalore in a few days, so I decided that I could get the turtle then. If anybody can help us, please answer soon!!!

When I grow up I wish to become a veterinarian and cure all different animals! I’ve had the normal cats, dogs,and fish experience but i want something more. I know i’m not getting any animals before i ask my parents but i want to know what are turtles like as pets? what do they do? personality? what do they eat? These are what i would consider unusual animals but i’m always up for a challenge and when the day comes that i do become a vet i want to be ready!

Okay..my kid wants a turtle and I know nothing about them. What does it take to get started and do I really want to get started? How big do they get? I thought they were little things that lived in a fishbowl..someone else said they get big???? Should I just go for a virtual pet and call it good? We have dogs..isn’t that good enough? Anyways….I don’t want her to get something that involves alot of my time…yes, i know who will clean and feed and such..I’m prepared for that..within reason.. but I don’t want some cute turtle turning into some gigantical turtle and no where to put him….someone else said that anything under 4 inches was illeagal??? aren’t there little turtles like what we saw on Hallmark movies?

So what’s involved with getting a turtle…? help!
so they don’t stay little? I was kinda hoping for something that stayed about the size of the palm of my hand……. are there any like that?
