i’m considering to get an aquatic turtle but i want to learn a little about them first. for example: how big it’ll grow, what i’ll need to feed it, how often do i clean the tank, etc. if any of you know of a site with faq or something helpful in it, please let me know and send me the link. thanks.
My parents are letting me have a pet turtle. I can’t wait. But I don’t know how to take care of them yet. Are there any tips for me? And what type of smallish turtles are there that are good as pets?
And should I have just one turtle or have two?
I have a turtle in an aquarium, and wanna know if its ok for me to feed it fish from a river. I would keep the minnows in a seperate tank, and only feed him a fish every 2-3 days or so.
I have been thinking of purchasing a pet turtle but I am also wondering if they are a pet that requires a lot of work.
Im planning to get a turtle or two and their going to be outside and they need heat lamps to keep them outside and I was wondering if there is such a speific lamp for outdoor use for turtles.
I want to put fish in my pond and I am afraid the turtles will eat all of my fish?
I keep my 2 3-toed box turtles in a 5×2.5 foot indoor enclosure, and in the summer they live in an outdoor pen. I think the measurements are 6×7 feet for that one. I keep the temps at around 85 degrese on one side, and on the other side temps stay at around 65-70. They are feed a veried diet, but the items that stay the same ate earthworms, dandelion greens, and romaine letuse. Its hard to give a whole list of what I feed them; I keep it varied like how it would be in the wild. Please, only serious awnsers only:)
I syphon out my turtles water to clean his tank but what do I do with the water that was in there? Where do I put it since they carry diseases… should I throw it outside or put it down my drain?
I have two painted turtles in my mini lake, they got loose because of my neighbors kids, the turtle belong to them. How do I get them out?
