MyCuriousGorge724 asked:
Do they get like super big or do that stay like 5 inches long??
Also, how big should a regular turtles tank be??

dont by one from there, they treat their animals like crap, go find a small, localy owned petstore that treats their animals right, and dont argue with it, they stink
I cannot tell you how true the previous answer is… PetSmart and PetCo are worthless… they kill almost everything they touch. And I used to be a Lead Specialty @ Petsmart. Oh the horrors I saw… Oh the torment I witness… Oh how much fun I had telling my boss what he could do with that job. Any who… Go to a local petstore and get you an african spur thighed tortious. you’ll love it. And Learn all about them FIRST by going to Kingsnake.com and look in the caresheets.

i dont know how petco/petsmart treats their animals [only have a petco in my city, dont go there] but you are prolly thinking of a Red Ear Slider, also known as RES for short. a res will prolly grow no more than 8in. i think? not sure, i know they dont grow over 12in. for sure though! but they grow as large as the tank they are given, the bigger the tank the bigger the turtle. a res should be given a minimum of 10gal. but a 15/20gal. wouldnt hurt either, its your choice. also, they sell turtle tanks, with a slot in the SIDE of the tank, for a filter so the turtle can have a good amount of water and also be filtered, although the tank should be cleaned regularly anyway. yea, you may be looking for my info im guessing, but im not gonna keep ranting on about turtles llol
Petco staff do not know the difference from a fish to a rabbit… Buy a turtle from a store that specializes in them
a tank sould be a pond or at least a 50 gallon
