Kelsey B asked:
Do they go in shock. We have a big pond by our house and people like to catch turtles there, we think it is wrong and would like scientific answers for our animal rightist group please note source.
THE PEOPLE WHO CATCH TURTLES AROUND MY HOUSE ARENT TRYING TO EAT THEM!!!!!!

its 3 brothers come and kill you
They cry. Little turtle tears.
sometimes people eat them – make turtle soup out of em.
if they keep them as pets, the turtles get very bored.
If they are snapping turtles, they probably just kill them, because snappers eat fish.
they dont kill you, idiots!
They get very bored and wait for someone to feed them, then when they don’t they pass on a case of salmonila and **** alot just to make their point.
The people are probably catching the turtles for food. More than likely they are snapping turtles or pond sliders, both are used to make soups or fried like chicken. Quite tasty actually, I have had both in the past. They do go into a shock state because they are taken out of their natural environment. No source other than living on a farm, with ponds, for most of my 35 years. As long as they do not over fish the pond of turtles, they will survive and replenish them self, its good to remove a few, so they don’t become overpopulated.
