LadySingsTheBlues asked:
They don’t hibernate do they?
Me and my roommate are having an argument as to whether turtles hibernate or not.

yes turtles hibernate.they bury themselves in a hole close to the surface and hide in their shells
I don’t know if it’s called hibernation for cold-blooded creatures, but i think they do bury themselves in mud and absorb oxygen through skin just enough to stay alive without actually breathing air
turtles definitely hibernate, they dig under the mud at the bottom of swamps or ponds and sleep all winter.
yes they do genuis
Its not hibernation. Mammals hibernate. When it comes to reptiles it is called brumation. I included a site that should help out with your question.
i do not believe they hibernate as they live in tropical conditions winter does not affect them, in the tropics the seasons hardly vary.
