The tank that I keep my turtles in has a foamy substance on the top of it. What is this and what should I do?

The turtles are red eared sliders. I haven’t put any type of soap in the tank. I’ve cleaned and changed the filter. I’ve skimmed the tank of all waste and food product that may have been floating around. Help.

    it could be bubbles but take him to the vet

    Dont worry about it. As long as you have a good canister filtration system, and you empty and replace 10% of the water each week, you should be fine. If you do not have a canister filtration system, i strongly recomend you get one, since turtles are extremely messy and are very poopful. A good one:
