Is it normal for small turtles to crawl undersomething warm and sleep?

i just got my pet turtles, and there tiny..i take them out so that they can crawl, and usualy they crrawl under me or something thats warm, and close their eyes, and end up sleepin…is this normal?

Yes.

They are cold blooded creatures and so they like to curl up on/under/near anything warm. They should have a heat rock or lamp (you get them from the pet store) to do this in their tank. Be sure you don’t put anything TOO hot near them, you don’t want to burn them.

Absolutely! and they need the heat. You should try to find out what kind of turtle you have and then read up on the care for it because there are different recommendations on temperature for different kinds of turtle.

this is totally normal. as reptiles are cold blooded, they require outside sources of heat to warm them, when they are good and warm, they relax and sleep.

Yeppers! ;D my baby girl likes to hide and sleeping warm places! She’s shy and growing! Maybe that’s the same with yours! I love turtles!
