RadiantGal asked:
I’ve had my baby turtles for two years already, but I still cant figure out wether theyre male or female. There’s obviously no peepee or ****** involve on this one, so how do I know?
Come on people! I’m serious^_^

ask politely
the turtle that looks reads Playboy turtle edition is the male.
if theres a depression on the bottom of the shell it is a male if there is no depression, it is a female
A water turtle, like a red eared slider, painted turtle, blandings turtle, will have a long tail if it is a boy. A short stubby tail if a girl.
Ok if you have a red ear slider it must be at least 4 inches before it can be sexed. A male red ear will have long front claws and a long tail. Females will have a very short tail (usually under an inch) and very short claws.
thats nasty about the ****** and go to the vet to see if they know or look on the computer
Yep short tail girl, long tail boy.
If it humps your leg its a boy…
A female will have a long tail and long claws, while the male has only a short tail and small claws.
USUALLY THE FEMALES HAVE A FLAT PLASTRON (UNDER SIDE OF SHELL) AND MALE HAVE A CONCAVE PLASTRON.
I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I OWN AND HAVE OWNED A VARIETY OF TURTLES AND TOROISES.
Usually you can tell by certain coloring on turtles. It depends what type of turtle you have. And the depressions on the underside… You can research your turtle on the web too.
You can’t till untill the turtles have grown out of babyhood. The male has a longer, stout tail, and females have relitavely shorter claws.
Gender identification Males have longer claws in their front legs. The cloaca in females is located closer to the carapace than in males.
