Has anyone who owned pet turtles ever had their turtles mate?

i have had my two box turtles mate before it was about 3 years ago but basically the male gets into a sitting position and the female backs into him then there is a lot of noise im mean good Lord all mighty they would not stop they were at for like 3 hours and this was happening in the middle of night by the way. You can tell when box turtles are about to mate if you see the male on top of the female ( that means they like each other that they are going to try to mate.

Our sulcata’s mate constantly. the male herds the female around and around in circles till she stops. then he climbs on. ANd best of all. He HONKS while he does it…..if you have them watch out. Males will make till they wear holes in their shell

my box turtles mate.. the male dances for the females its funny to see..more funny is how he leans back with his feet tucked into the hinge of her shell…
