<p>The &#8216;three turtles&#8217; statue shows three turtles of different sizes stacked upon eachothers backs from largest on bottom to smallest on top.  I am very curious as to the origin of this statue and what it might mean with relation to the turtles formation and the angles of their heads (which I don&#8217;t think is coincidental).  I found many sites with general superstitious information (i.e. brings longevity), and many sites that hightlighted the turtle (i.e. long living creature, earth on top/heaven on bottom).  However, there must be a story about this particular formation of turtles&#8230;its just too common to be some arbitrary statue that became popular.</p>
