I want to get a pet turtle, I don’t want to get one that will grow up to be huge. I just want to know what is a good kind of turtle to own, maybe a semi-aquatic one?

Hi, we just found a turtle in the middle of an oval (no idea how it got there) and i was just wondering of anyone had a pet turtles and could give me a few pointers on how to look after it…its an eastern long-neck turtle ad it looks atleast 1yr old

My pet turtles are of the red eared species and are small and semi-aquatic. They make eye contact with me and look up eagerly whenever I pass by their tank in hopes of food.

I really want a pet, and turtles seem really cute. I want a pet that I can hold, play with, and keep in my room. I think a turtle would work well because I don’t really want a furry pet. Is a turtle the right choice?

the have orange spots on the side of there heads behind there eyes, and they have black spots on the bottom part of the shell. they are not paint turtles I know that. They are about the size of a 50 cent piece and right now i have them in a small aquarium because i wasnt expecting them. Just to let you know I asked for fish (guppies) and frogs so I could keep them together and he got me turtles. can I keep fish with turtles or do they have to stay in shallow water. I want to make sure they are healthy and taken good care of even though they are not what I had in mind. how do you know if they are male or female? I looked online but couldnt find any good sites.

HE BOUGHT THEM! I INCLUDED THAT IN THE ANSWER! WE LIVE IN LOS ANGELES AND HE BOUGHT THEM DOWNTOWN SO ITS NOT LIKE HE CAN GO BACK AND FIND THE PEOPLE! ITS TO BIG AND THEY MIGHT BE IN A DIFFERENT AREA.
