we just inherited two from my sick cousin – they are golf ball size. They came in an aquirium with top and light and stones but need water too. not sure what kind they are.
What kind of turtles make good pets, I would love a land turtle, but all I have seen for sale are tortoises, which are too big, and i dont see any box turtles, are there any other land turtles for pets, and if not, is there any sea turtle smaller than the map turtle?
sorry, i didnt really mean like, ocean sea turtles, but water turtles, like the red eared slider
I heard something somewhere that it isn’t good to have a pet amphibian if you have a baby or toddler. Does anyone know anything about this or can you lead me in the right direction?
my neighbors are bringing me 2 turtles home from the beach[[im not sure if theyre box turtles or water]], and i want to know how long they will probably live. im not sure if i want to keep them or not, because when it comes to pets i get really emotional when they look sick, or die.
so, im deciding if i do or dont want to keep them.
so here are my questions.
how long is their average life span?
should i keep them or give them away?
if i should keep them, what are good names[[remember im getting 2]]
thanks!

I have pet pond turtles but I sometimes take them out of water to sunbathe. I am wondering if I can keep them out of water for days.
i have two pet baby turtles, and i don’t know if they’re sea or land turtles. The man who sold me the baby turthles didnt tell me.
We are thinking of getting our son a pet turtle, but I was just wondering if they make good pets for little ones. Can you get miniature turtles that will stay really small? What about biting, are they big biters. Any suggestions for other pets (except dogs, and cats, allergies nothing with fur) would be greatly appreciated.
